Private messages, device to device. Vili Chat connects your devices directly and encrypts everything end to end. Our servers introduce devices to each other; they cannot read what you send.

End-to-end encrypted
Messages, photos and files are encrypted on your device with MLS, the IETF standard for group messaging (RFC 9420). Only the people in the conversation hold the keys.
Direct when it can be
Your devices talk to each other directly over the network. When a direct path is not possible, an encrypted relay passes the data along without being able to read it.
Blind servers
The directory knows a keyed hash of your phone number and your devices' public keys. It never sees your messages, your contacts or your address book.
No ads, no trackers
No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking in the apps or on this site. We do not sell or share data for marketing.
Your backups, your folders
Nothing is backed up to Vili servers. A 24-word recovery kit you keep offline restores your identity, and encrypted backups go only to a folder you choose.
You stay in control
Messages from people you have not added wait as requests. Block anyone, report abuse from inside the app, and delete your account in Settings.
